Native Beauties

Who isn’t enchanted with the shapes and colours of Australian flora?

Growing up with stories like May Gibbs ‘Gum Nut Babies‘, Norman Lindsay’s ‘Magic Pudding’, C.S. Lewis’ ‘Chronicles of Nania’, and Lewis Carol’s ‘Alice in Wonderland’ inspired me to see the wonder in all that surrounds me. The shapes, the colours, the textures are all so intricate, so beautiful and inspiring.

In the garden, these plants bring so much life not only with their shapes and colours, their flowers encourage insect and bird life, so they are also alive with movement and sound.

After the flowers have had their time to shine, the seed pods bring new wonders with colour, shape and textures of their own, along with the promise of new life.
